Synopsis

Vincent and Paul. Paul druggy teen, Emily dropping out. Both end up working at an isolated boutique hotel for the super rich. Emily as bartender gets picked up and not-married by a wealthy guest, Alkaitis,  (so wealthy he owns the hotel) and enters the land of money. Paul as sub-janitor is persuaded by another guest to leave a graffiti message for Alkaitis, but it fails to reach its target and Paul is quietly sacked.

Vincent settle into life in the land of money until the ponzi scheme Alkaitis has been basing his wealth on unravels, she exits and pops up some time later as a under-chef on a container ship.

Paul rebuilds himself as an artist with the help of some videos of Vincent's he finds. Their paths pass like ships in the night.

Alkaitis' ponzi scheme is based on the Madoff scandal of the 2008 crash
