Although the ending leaves Ari Thor's future open to further stories this is probably enough. It may be a quirk of the translation (from Icelandic to French to English apparrently) but the writing seemed a bit more redundant - continual reminders about the changes in the town, the delicious buns, the gathering storm etc etc started to wear a bit thin.

Still a good entertaining read as it rolls along though.
