One of those nothing happens film that sort of leaves you thinking well I suppose that was interesting but I'm not really sure what the point of it is - rather like the life of the subject of the film

Review of "Parasite"

Very good with lots of excellent acting and visual touches plus a good story - up until the end which is a deus-ex-machina cop-out. Entertaining as it is to see the rich slaughtered and social snobbery get its comeuppance, it really could have been resolved more satisfactorily. (I don't know how!)

Initially I was unsure what I was watching, or why I should be interested in a bunch of kids on skateboards but a dark understory emerged that made it really interesting. With the director an active participant this is not pure observational documentary but has elements of both film about film and staged or scripted document.
