Review of "Holy Motors"

Only on briefly looking at the special feature interview with the director did it become clear that Leos Carax is an incoherent gibbon hiding behind dark glasses and a gallic stubble making gnomic remarks to a sycophantic interviewer and that there is simply no point at all to this dull and uninteresting, either as art or as narrative, mess of a film.

Review of "Jackpot"

Shades of Usual Suspects, Lock Stock…, Shallow Grave - comedy mixed in with the thriller. Brilliant fun. Love the policeman/detective - very dry.

Review of "Great Expectations"

Miss Haversham (HB-C) not very good, seemed to be only one street in London, OK but not the best (1946) and anyway it is not a very good story.
