Review of "Fata Morgana"

Entrancing and engrossing. A very different sort of film - non-narrative, poetic visuals, interesting music - something unknown, some classical, Blind Faith, John Renbourn, Leonard Cohen (could have done without tht Cohen personally)

Classic Western very well shot and told. Excellent not OTT contribution from Hailee Steinfeld as the girl holding her own without stealing the show.

Review of "Ghost in the Shell (1)"

Japanese Anime animation from comic book. OK but a little slow at times and some interesting visuals but some spurious teenage boy obsession with breasts!

Review of "The Hide"

Fairly good adaptation from obvious stage play, a few unnecessary gimmicks (flashes into the mind of the younger man with images of crows picking maggoty flesh in a field). Twist obvious from about half way (once he was talking about his wife) but that didn't matter
