Stereotypical Barbie lives her perfect life with her perfect friends the other Barbies in perfectly pink Barbie World where every day follows the same perfect pattern. The Barbies have all the jobs from construction to President and Ken, who does "Beach" and the other Kens only role is to be noticed by Barbie.

Then one day Stereotypical Barbie starts having thoughts of death, and her feet go flat. Her friends advise her she will have to go and see Wierd Barbie who is scary and lives in a broken house and does the splits all the time - she was once played with too hard by her girl in the real world and got broken.

Weird Barbie says that Stereotypical Barbie will have to travel to the real world to find the girl who is playing with her and make her stop having these ideas which get put intoBarbie.

So she sets off, with Beach Ken stowing away for the ride. They arrive at Venice Beach in LA and discover things are not as they believed.Ken is blown away to find that men have allthe important jobs and women are just there for the men - he discovers patriarchy - and decides to take this brilliant idea back to arbie world and tell the other Kens about it.

Meanwhile Barbie is being pursued by the top brass of Mattel in black cars who have discovered that she has opened a portal and are determined to close it. She is helped by a woman and her daughter. It turns out the woman works at Matel and has been playing with ideas like 'Death Wish Barbie' and 'Depressed Barbie' in her spare time remebering playing with her daughters old Barbies when she threw them out. She is the one.

So they are chased back to Barbie World were they find the Kens have taken over and instituted Patriarchy as the social system and the other Barbies have turned into compliant women working to male their men happy. So they set about putting things to rights by awakening the Barbies to the reality of ther situation and setting the men against each other.

Perfection is restored and the portal is closed.
