Review of "The Red Desert"

One of those remembered films that really doesn't bear up to a second screening 40 years later. Tedious and right up itself. Three stars for the amazing photography and mise-en-scene only

Review of "White God"

Strange and brave attempt to break free of the speciesist bias of conventional media. What would a dog make of it? Unfortunately the DVD was damaged so we had to watch it over 2 nights, but it all hung together.

Review of "Les Diaboliques"

Its a classic, and deservedly so. In this original version the twists are subtler and the sexual tensions more nuanced. The lesbian relationship in the book is only hinted at.
