Synopsis
At her wedding the bride Justine (Kirsten Dunst) arrives 2hrs late for the reception at her sister Claire's () lavish estate. She is a bit capricious and seems troubled. Her husbamd () is sympathetic but unable to get through to her and leaves with his parents. Justine & Claire's estranged parents(Charlotte Rampling and John Hurt) are no help at all. Justne is close to Claire, but her wealth husband John is a bit irritated by her behaviour.
Some time after the event, days? weeks? months? Justine having some sort of meltdown returns to stay with Claire and John and their 8 year old son while a rouge planet which appeared in the sky at the wedding party is about to make a close pass of earth.
It hits and they all die

Summary
Boring uninteresting rich people in a bubbleFull review
Ridiculous characters, self centred and not engaged with reality. Filmed in a languid style - lingering shots, swelling music (Tritan & Isolde excerpts), luxuriant setting.
Strong echoes of Alain Resnais Last Year in Marienbad with its existential theme, this one is if anything more tedious and vacuous.
