An enjoyable read, uses occasional extracts from his personal journal as a device to provide some backstory and context. Quite a page turner, almost an English version of Pynchon's Crying of Lot 49. Review of "Any Human Heart"

Started well, but became full of flaws as sympathy for the central character ebbed. Multiple use of deus ex machina to allow the plot to move on and ultimately unconvincing and uninteresting. The spurious name dropping was to no real effect - compare with the 100 Year Old Man Who… where it was played much better.
