Complete rubbish which Jane bought by mistake on Amazon. Ridiculous psychological thriller that completely fails to convince. Lead character totally implausible.

By comparison with Wold Hall which I just finished this is a complete load of c**p. Poorly written, poorly edited, two dimensional characters, little sense of place or time and gratituitous gore. Rubbish. Avoid any othe rbooks by this author

Review of "Wolf Hall"

Two minor annoyances - the way it is written makes it hard sometimes to work out who is speaking, and the story of Cromwell has little dramatic tension - he just rises. But very good evocation of character, time and place.
