Synopsis

English princess gets married to King Christian of Denmark in 18thC. King slightly barmy. Conflict between the traditionalists in the Council and the Enlightenment. Physician Struense takes king under his spell and has affair with queen and together they start a social revolution

Very well acted - Alicia Vikander as the queen, Mads Mikkelsen as Struense, and espcially Mikkel Folsgaard as the slightly insane king.
