Boudu turns out to be exactly the sort of half crazed irritating but charming guest we have all encountered. Review of "Boudu sauvé des eaux"

Full review

Billed as a comedy, but more a slightly poetic social satire. A restored B&W print with subtitles (sound somewhat muddy anyway). Absorbing and not quite as off the wall absurdist as The Lobster seen 2 days earlier.
