Synopsis

The nasty underbelly of 50s small town US suburbia. As the residents go apeshit over the first black family moving in a family implodes as the father seems to have the mother killed in a "robbery" so he can claim the insurance to pay off the mob (to whom he owes the money) and run away with the sister (who lives with them). The pre-teen son caught up in this as the innocent is the only survivor in the end as the aftermath of the riots about the black family next door is cleared up he goes to play ball with their son.

Full review

Written and produced by the Coen brothers with Clooney it has their stamp. Slightly confusing in some plot points but a classic Coen bros small film.
